于2018年就职于南通大学地理科学学院特聘副教授,2019年获江苏省双创计划人才项目,2021年主持国家自然基金委面上项目。主要从事亚热带泥炭湿地碳量变化研究。

目前建设有古生物实验室团队,指导本科生人数:30多名学生
承担2018级地理师范两个班班主任,已指导的10多名本科生考取中科院和双一流等高校研究生(且有一位学生赴国外攻读博士学位);
2021年与兰州大学联合指导毕业硕士生 (陶淑娴和刘媛璐),与衡阳师范大学联合培养硕士生李姝明。2024和兰州大学联合指导博士研究生(覃罗);
指导本科生吴思琪、胡宇航、季阳和徐倩团队获得第九届全国大学生生命科学竞赛江苏赛区二等奖。
申请发明专利多项,目前三项实用新型专利授权。
目前担任中国地理学会微体与古环境工作组委员,担任Chinese Geographical Science 和南通大学学报的青年编委。
